Sports Physiotherapy Techniques
In Sports Physiotherapy we work the athlete with specific techniques according to the needs that this one has.
Certain physical agents are applied:
Cryotherapy
Application of cold to decrease inflammation in muscle, joint or tendon lesions
Thermotherapy
Local heat that relaxes muscles and decreases tension in tissues. They prepare the muscles for massage or mobilization.
Ultrasound
Accelerates the healing processes in ligamentous, tendon and muscular injuries while favoring the treatment of contractures and fibrosis.
Tens
Decreases the pain of the Musculoskeletal System or of Nervous Origin.
Electrostimulation
Activates inhibited muscle fiber, accelerates the return to sports practice in cases of surgery or fiber rupture
